Whether you think cake bunting is here to stay or a trend… they add that little extra pizazz, and who doesn’t love pizazz on your wedding day! It’s a great cost effective way to personalize and set the mood on your wedding cake. Here are some of our favorites.

What is more adorable than owls? Two owls in love saying “we do”, so sweet!

Let’s introduce Mr. and Mrs. Wooden Bride and Groom. A classic couple in traditional black and white.

Fabulous Find – Cake Power

Friday, September 14th, 2012

What’s even better than Fridays? Wedding cakes, of course! Our Fab Find this week is Cake Power and when you see their cakes you’ll agree- they’re pretty fabulous! Cake Power was founded by Kate Sullivan who combines her love of designing and painting with an infatuation for chocolate. Raised in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, Kate now lives and works in New York City. Kate learned her baking and decorating skills from books, and lots of trial and error. I bet her cakes taste just as good as they look.

Our Favorite Groom’s Cakes!

Thursday, August 16th, 2012

Originating in the south, the tradition of a groom’s cake at a wedding reception is a fun way to pay tribute to your new hubby. While wedding cakes are typically white in decoration and light in texture, a groom’s cake is often chocolate, red velvet, or whatever your man prefers – even cheesecake. After all, the whole point of the tradition is to make at least one aspect of the big day all about him. Here are some of our favorite creative groom’s cakes!

Fabulous Find – Custom Cake Stands

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

I just had to share these beautiful cake and tea stands after I stumbled across them today. These High Tea for Alice stands are from Orange & Blossom and each is crafted from fine European china. They would be the perfect addition to a bridal shower or intimate wedding. You can even use the smaller ones to hold jewelry. I love any kind of wedding item that you can use and appreciate for years to come and these stands certainly fall in that category.

High Tea for Alice can customize any stand and you get to be part of the design process.

Far from rummage sale cast-offs, the pieces in their stands are individually scouted & selected.

This is one of their smaller versions that can be used as a jewelry stand.

These lovely stands were made just for Valentine's Day.

All these pieces go into making the beautiful cake stand seen below.

High Tea for Alice stands are an instant heirloom to treasure, use and to pass on for years to come.

I also adore their tagline – ‘Life is delicious, don’t you think?’ I think theses stands definitely help make it more beautiful and delicious!

Now you can eat your bridesmaid gown too

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

We’re going to post our ‘awkward wedding photo of the day’ later this afternoon but I had to share this fun cookie favor from Diane at CCC Gifts. They just started to create cookie favors inspired by bridesmaid gowns. These custom sugar cookies are made from a special recipe, frosted with royal icing and available in vanilla or chocolate. Check out a few of them below and click here to see more. Bon Appétit!
