A few days ago I wrote about must have items for your holiday wedding but I didn’t mention cakes. How could I forget that?! So here are some fabulous Christmas wedding cakes that are sure to get you into a festive mood!

Isn’t this poinsettia cake from Cakes By Roxanne beautiful! It would look amazing during a December wedding.

The present and birch tree cake are both by the Pink Cake Box. Take a look at their site for other super cute Christmas cakes.

What could be sweeter than a gingerbread house for your wedding cake? The fabulous creation was made by a bakery called The Shop.

If you want a more subtle holiday cake, this one from Jacques Pastries would be perfect!

If you like reindeers, you’ll love this reindeer wedding cake.

How could we not show a few Christmas tree cakes? This one is from Dad Makes Cakes.

This tree from Molly Bakes was created out of cake pops. No cake cutting required here!

Carries Cakes made these beautiful pine cone and snowflake winter wonderland cakes.

And finally for my sweet husband, I had to include this Hanukkah wedding cake from Dahlia’s Custom Cakes.

Do you you love cake and beautiful things? Then our Fab Find this week, Nine Cakes, is sure to impress you! Nine Cakes was started by Betsy Thorleifson in the fall of 2008, with a passion for food, handcrafted goods, and working in collaboration with people. Betsy works closely with her clients and uses aspects of the couple’s wedding to inspire the design such as the invitation, floral design, dress, colors, overall mood, venue, decorations or anything that provides a sense of your wedding. The result will be delightfully decadent cake that is uniquely yours. Take a look at some Nine Cake’s amazing creations.

These cakes sure look good but taste good… no, probably not. Need an amazing cake to fit within your wedding budget? That’s where, Piece of Fake, our fabulous find for this week comes in. Order a custom cake to fit your wedding theme or buy a design from their store. Each cake features a hidden section in the bottom tier for a real slice of cake – no need to skip the time-honored cake cutting ceremony. Have the faux cake taken away to be “cut,” and simply serve your guests from sheet cakes that you can order from your favorite bakery of choice. You really can have your cake and eat it too! Take a look at their impressive designs below.

This sleek faux wedding cake is made with off-white fondant and gumpaste calla lily accents.

This elegant faux wedding cake is covered with white fondant and accented with a beautiful, monochromatic cutout pattern.

A beautiful cake perfect for the budget-conscious bride, anyone getting married outdoors, bridal shops and boutiques, bakeries, or for nearly any merchant looking to showcase wedding items.

This cake is made with cream fondant and chocolate brown gumpaste accents. Add your own flowers and your wedding cake is ready to go!

This weeks Fab Find is a food find. Cake pops seem to be “popping“ up everywhere and I know first hand why. These little nuggets are easy to eat, fun and absolutely adorable… and did I mention delicious? Whether you make them yourself or you hire someone else to do it for you, cake pops are a fun addition to any wedding. Make them unique, classic, colorful or bizarre, cake pops double as decor and/or guest gifts. For those who want to taste what the big deal is, LittleMissMomma shows you step by step instruction on how to make these sinful delights. For those of you who want to have someone else cater to your needs CakePopBakeShop from Etsy offers a number of designs open to a variety of event themes. ENJOY!
Little Miss Momma doesn’t miss a step when showing you how to create your own little piece of heaven.

Cake Pop Bake Shop has a cute wedding selection of cake pops.

Cake pops have so much potential to be fun and unique! I see these being a big hit with the photographer at a wedding…not to mention the guests.
Remember, there are more flavors of cake besides strawberry, vanilla and chocolate.

I just had to share these beautiful cake and tea stands after I stumbled across them today. These High Tea for Alice stands are from Orange & Blossom and each is crafted from fine European china. They would be the perfect addition to a bridal shower or intimate wedding. You can even use the smaller ones to hold jewelry. I love any kind of wedding item that you can use and appreciate for years to come and these stands certainly fall in that category.

High Tea for Alice can customize any stand and you get to be part of the design process.

Far from rummage sale cast-offs, the pieces in their stands are individually scouted & selected.

This is one of their smaller versions that can be used as a jewelry stand.

These lovely stands were made just for Valentine's Day.

All these pieces go into making the beautiful cake stand seen below.

High Tea for Alice stands are an instant heirloom to treasure, use and to pass on for years to come.
I also adore their tagline – ‘Life is delicious, don’t you think?’ I think theses stands definitely help make it more beautiful and delicious!

In case you haven’t noticed cupcakes are becoming all the rage and are sometimes replacing the traditional cake when it comes to celebrating special occasions. From the bridal shower to the bachelorette party to the reception, wedding cupcakes are making it more fun and easier to please your guests.
Why do we love cupcakes other than the fact they are small but so delicious?
- With cupcakes you can get more creative with the decorations and colors.
- You can go crazy with the different amount of flavors.
- Last but not least, portion control. For some reason it just feels like cupcakes have less calories than a piece of cake. Although I am sure this is not true, it just makes them seem more guilt free. Which must make them somewhat healthy, right?
Check out how some brides used cupcakes at their wedding and bachelorette parties below.

We love how there's still a cake on top for the bride and groom to cut!

The flower details on these cupcakes are gorgeous

Use wrappers to really dress up your cupcakes. Click on the image to see one of our favorite cupcake wrapper companies.

Martini or cupcake anyone?

What's a bachelorette party without a half naked man standing on top of your cupcake?!

I found a website today called Just Cake Toppers and that is really all they sell. If you are looking for a specific wedding cake topper, they probably have it. I found some of their most unique ones and posted them below.

Perfect for motorcycle lovers!

I don't know if I'd be so enthusiastic if my husband was carrying around golf clubs and looking at his watch on our wedding day

You probably don't want your Grandma to see this topper

I don't know if guns and weddings are a good combination

This cake topper was called 'Macho Man'. It's not recommend for wedding cakes and definitely not for baby shower cakes.

Who knew you could have a miniature replica of your dress as a cake topper

Cakewrecks is one of my favorite blogs. If you haven’t heard of it and need a good laugh I highly recommed checking it out. I found some of their best wedding cakes and had to share them. Enjoy!

Yes, this is a cake replica of the bride.

Perfect for the bride that likes to hunt

The caption on Cake Wrecks was perfect - 'Don't you hate it when the cake eavesdrops'

This James Bond cake is by Mike's Amazing cakes, the same company who made our wedding cake!

This cake may have outshined the bride

This bride wasn't afraid of color!

What a great tribute to Super Mario!

Nothing says love like a tree stump
