Thanks to Jeff from TheTravelingPhotoBooth.com for today’s photo!

The extra fee for the minister dance-off was totally worth it.

Our featured real wedding spotlight is by Holly Steen from Cakes and Kisses Wedding Photography. The wedding took place in Santa Ynez, California at Gainey Vineyard. What’s better than wine flowing freely and a beautiful couple in love?! Read on to view Holly’s gorgeous images as she tells the wedding story from her point of view.
I don’t have the words on how lucky I am to have the beautiful couples that stroll into my life. Each has a unique story, or happen stance that allows me to be able to shoot their wedding. Whether is be luck, fate or chance… this wedding was beautiful.

I met our bride standing outside a Sprinkles Cupcake shop in Newport Beach. I had just finished a consultation and was getting ready to go for a short run on along the coast with my best friend/assistant, Chandra. But alas, we decided, or was it fate, to get a Sprinkles Cupcake instead. The bride and I chatted the entire time, not as strangers but as best buddies getting treats together. We talked about details, flowers, shoes, decorations, save the dates, and all sorts. Then, Chandra revealed that I was a wedding photographer. She showed her fiance my images on the website and they were hooked.

She included her gorgeous red English Bulldog as the ring bearer.

Her shoes were part of her something old.. but I think it was more like something divine.

Every guest stayed until the last song, “I had the Time of my Life” and danced the night away. It was an absolutely stunning event.

I am so grateful for my lack of interest in running at the beach that evening, and giving into my sweet tooth instead.
I love wedding photos and could spend hours looking at images of brides and grooms that I never met. Which is why I am so excited to post our first wedding spotlight by Shannon Lee Images. Check out these gorgeous images of Annette & Carlos’s wedding on October 17, 2009 by Shannon Lee and Jason Redmond
Their rings on Annette’s bouquet.

Something borrowed… something new… something blue. Annette’s dress,
shoes and blue panties that say her new married name! Hot.

The first look. Annette and Carlos originally had told insisted against
seeing each other prior to their ceremony. As it got later and later in the
year and the sun was setting earlier and earlier, I told them that if they
wanted time for photos of the two of them that they should definitely see
each other before. After many emails back and forth, Annette reluctantly
agreed and then grew to love the idea. I just love moments like these
captured between a couple. It’s something you can never capture quite this
way at a ceremony. Think Annette is disappointed she saw him before? Not
after seeing this set of photos!

Annette & Carlos – all taken on the Diamond Bar Golf Course

The details of Annette & Carlos’s ceremony and reception. Their
beautiful fall, gazebo wedding, their stunning flowers, name placement
cards, and of course their reception hall.

Annette’s grandfather cried when he saw her all dressed like a princess.
He walked her all the way down the aisle with his cane in tow, determined to
get her to her husband to be. He cried giving her away but you can tell he
adores Carlos. Who wouldn’t with that sweet face and charm?

Not only were Annette and Carlos beginning their lives together, they had
another addition to their family, Carlos’s daughter! She is six and was
delighted to welcome Annette as her father’s wife. They poured different
colored sand into a bowl etched with their initials to symbolize their new
family.

First kiss!

Mmmm time for my favorite part, cake!! Carlos is a pretty laid back guy,
but when it came to the cake he insisted on this banana, chocolate dream of
a cake. It was by far one of the best I’ve had and it was wrapped up like a
present too!

First dance… they are so sweet together. May they live happily ever
after.
