My whole life I looked up to my Dad, he was the smartest, funniest and most loving man I knew. Not only was he a great Father but I knew he was a wonderful husband too. My parents have been married for 35 years and are still happy and very much in love. When I was growing up I knew I’d never get married until I found someone who was as special as my Dad. Finally I met my husband Mark, (who is pretty darn special). In my wedding speech I wanted to use a line from Ethel Kennedy, who said to her new husband, “All my life I have searched for someone like my Father, and you came the closest”.
So thank you Dad, for teaching me about love and life and for always being there. Happy Father’s Day!
