Strapless (straight across) floor length, ball gown with a natural waist. Ivory with Ice Blue Trim.
Dress Details:
Silk Satin Organza strapless gown with Dutchess Satin ice blue border. Inverted Box pleats, full skirt. Details added which make this dress a one of a kind Vera Wang.
Dress has a beautiful French Bustle, which bustles the train all within the lower part of the skirt, not adding bulk to the top part.
For the bride who loves tradition with a twist, the ice blue accents are the perfect touch to add an elegant flair to a timeless gown. Blue has been connected to weddings for centuries. In ancient Rome, brides wore blue to symbolize love, modesty, and fidelity. Christianity has long dressed the Virgin Mary in blue, so purity was associated with the color. Before the late 19th century, blue was a popular color for wedding gowns, as evidenced in proverbs like, "Marry in blue, lover be true". I had my shoes dyed the same color blue so the toes matched when they peeked out!
Dress Alterations:
Some custom work done, bow details removed from back and a band to match the bottom was added at the bust with a bow at the back which trailed to the floor. Bow tails bustles to match the french bustle of the dress itself. Purchased at the Vera Wang flagship salon on Madison Ave. Altered by the Vera Wang seamstresses on Madison.
Veil / Headpiece (Included:
Caged circular veil with ice blue trim c/csd also Vera Wang
