We made this cakestand for our Colorado fall-themed wedding cake. It's laquered, and has been kept in climate-controlled storage. Just have bakery place sheet of parchment paper or cardboard under the actual cake. People at our wedding said it was the most amazing cake they'd ever seen, and so perfectly Colorado!
