Buyer Protection

Remember that you're buying from your seller, not from BravoBride, so you want to be aware of a few things before you send any money:

  • Compare your seller’s price with the retail price of the item, if possible, so you’ll know that you’re paying a fair amount.
  • Don’t be shy about asking your seller detailed questions about the item you’re interested in, such as:

- When did the seller acquire the item, and did they buy it new or used?
- Is there proof that the item is authentic?
- Are there any problems or imperfections with the item?
- If the item is a dress, has it been altered in any way?
- If the item image is a stock photo, ask the seller to take photos of the actual item!

You should also know the following about the seller:

- Name
- Street address
- Phone number
- Email address

When it comes to making payment, don’t accept wire transfers, money orders or cashier’s checks. Use only online payment services such as PayPal, Google Checkout and Escrow.com. For items priced over $100 we highly recommend using Escrow.com, they are the only online payment company that can protect the buyer and seller.

A few more tips:

Be alert for sellers who ask you to pay using a method not mentioned in the listing. If a seller demands cash by wire transfer after you contact them, cancel the transaction and let BravoBride know.

Sending money to pay for purchases through instant cash wire transfer services such as Western Union or MoneyGram is always risky, because you have no recourse if you don’t get your item.

Always ask the seller to ship an item with insurance and a tracking number.

Buy locally when possible, use our advanced item search to find items in your area.

BravoBride is not involved in any transaction, does not guarantee transactions, handle payments, provide escrow services, or offer buyer or seller protection.
