Another Monday and another fabulous find here at BravoBride! This week we found that people are really getting excited about making shadow boxes after their wedding so that they can cherish and view all of their favorite memories from their special day.
What is a Shadow box?
It is pretty simple, by definition a shadow box is “is an enclosed glass-front case containing an object or objects presented in a thematic grouping with artistic or personal significance.”
So essentially a Wedding Shadow box is a glass front case that contains different items from your wedding day that you want to admire and be able to look at forever.
What do I put in my shadow box?
There are so many things you can include in your shadow box. Some examples and ideas are:
- Wedding garter
- Wedding invitation
- Wedding Menu
- Champagne Glasses
- Wedding Shoes
- Spare Wedding Favor
- Cake Topper
- Your “something borrowed and blue”
- Pictures from the ceremony
- Wedding Veil
What do I do after my shadowbox is completed?
After you have your shadow box made, we have found that it is most popular to hang your shadow box somewhere in your home. Usually in the bedroom so that it can be something special for just you and your spouse to admire. Another option is in the living/dining room so that your family and friends can look back and reminisce on your wedding day with you.
